How to Change Centurylink Name

You can change your network name using the help from Centurylink Customer Service and you can also follow the steps given below.  These means work for newer CenturyLink modems. In case that these steps didn't work for your CenturyLink modem, go to the modems and routers page, select your modem, and search for the "remote section". 

Change Wi-Fi SSID (Network name)


Connect a gadget straightforwardly to your modem. 


Open an internet browser and go to http://192.168.0.1.

Enter the Admin Username and Admin Password to log in to your modem, at that point select "Apply." If your modem is utilizing the default settings, this data is situated on the modem sticker.  


Choose "Wireless Setup."

Choose "2.4 GHz."

Choose "Wireless Security."

Choose the SSID you need to alter. 


Choose the required "Security Type."
